- Teacher's Assistant Pro- allows teachers to plug in student information and contacts. Keeps track of individual's behavior, achievements, and other notes. Teachers can easily contact parents.
- Common Core Standards- because what teacher (besides us in Virginia) doesn't need the convenient access to the standards while planning a lesson?
- EduCreations- an interactive whiteboard on your iPad. Students would love this, too!
- Flipboard- an interactive and creative way to make your own (or a class) newspaper by picking and choosing news from social media sites or other favorite sites.
- Nearpod- allows teachers to have access or control over students' own iPod or iTouch when synchronized.
Students' Apps
- Dropbox- more for older students who have lots of readings, assignments, papers, lectures, and videos that they can keep stored in a "cloud."
- Flashcards*- students have access to others' flashcards as well as create their own. They no longer have to be embarrassed to study at the bus stop with a stack of index cards!
- PlayTales- children can have stories read to them, or read along. Lots of interactive games to enhance reading experience.
- K12 Timed Reading Practice- an app to measure students' fluency by timing their reading.
- Addition UnderSea Adventures- students reveal engaging and eye-catching scenes of the ocean (not to mention, educational) by correctly solving addition problems.
